Keyla Gleave-Perez
Certified Social Worker (CSW)

Keyla Gleave-Perez is a Certified Social Worker (CSW) and associate mental health therapist. With a diverse background spanning hospitals, clinics, non-profit organizations, and startups, Keyla brings a wealth of experience to Embrace Clinical.

As a therapist, Keyla is dedicated to helping you identify your aspirations and empowering you to enact positive changes in your life. She understands that seeking help can be a daunting decision, and her approach is characterized by compassion, directness, and a non-judgmental attitude, fostering a supportive environment for your counseling journey.

In 2019, Keyla embarked on her counseling journey, focusing on assisting survivors of sexual assault, grief, and childhood trauma. Her true calling emerged as she discovered her passion for aiding individuals, families, and couples in overcoming life's challenges. This dedication led her to specialize in supporting survivors of abuse, with a particular emphasis on domestic violence, sexual assault, pregnancy loss, the loss of loved ones, and unexpected diagnoses, drawing from her experiences in a hospital setting. Keyla's deep exploration of trauma origins across various backgrounds, including poverty, learning disabilities, lack of mental health education, immigration, and culture, revealed the multifaceted nature of domestic abuse, substance abuse, and mental health disorders.

Currently, Keyla's practice centers on helping individuals of all ages: families, children, couples, and those navigating divorce to confront issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, and relationship challenges. She possesses expertise in addressing a wide array of concerns, including eating disorders, OCD, OCPD, ADD, ADHD, social anxiety, trauma, grief, postpartum depression, antepartum depression/anxiety, PTSD, depression, anxiety, cultural dynamics, family transitions, and parenting dilemmas. If you often find yourself burdened by emotional weight, reach out to Keyla. Together, we will develop personalized strategies to address the root causes of your difficulties and forge meaningful social connections.
